I've been working for ages on a "Heart of Darkness" kind of story where a youth raised in moral absolutism has to brave the real world in search of revenge against moral nihilists who seriously wronged him. I'm sure I'll need to reread and revise my work a few times to get his arc well paced and believable. Your resource and writing are good food for thought on this aspect of writing and character development!
